   Describe cloud concepts

   25–30%

   Explain what cloud computing is and why organisations use it. This includes public, private and hybrid models, the consumption-based model, shared responsibility, and the difference between IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, including when serverless fits.

2. Domain 2

   Describe Azure architecture and services

   35–40%

   Describe how Azure is organised and what you can run on it. Typical topics include regions, availability zones, resource groups, subscriptions and management groups, then compute (virtual machines, containers, Azure Functions), networking, storage, Microsoft Entra ID, authentication, RBAC and Zero Trust.

3. Domain 3

   Describe Azure management and governance

   30–35%

   Describe how Azure is administered day to day: cost management and tags, Azure Policy and resource locks, the Azure portal, CLI and PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Arc, and monitoring with Azure Advisor, Azure Service Health and Azure Monitor.

   Start with cloud models, shared responsibility and IaaS, PaaS and SaaS so later Azure services have a clear place in the picture.

2. Step 2

   Understand Azure architecture and core services

   Work through regions, resource organisation, compute, networking, storage and identity so you can describe what each service is for, not only name it.

3. Step 3

   Practise by exam domain

   Use the AZ-900 practice bank to drill one domain at a time. Explanations matter more than a raw score at this stage.

4. Step 4

   Review weak areas and explanations

   After you have enough answers recorded, use SkillsNest feedback to revisit Microsoft Entra ID, networking, cost management or whichever topic still slips.

5. Step 5

   Take a realistic timed mock and revisit weak domains
